During the COVID-19 period, photographer Maxime Delvaux and the architects and urbanists from the offices of CENTRAL and UR decided to use the lockdown as an opportunity to explore their common sources of inspiration. They asked 44 colleagues in visual arts, architecture and the design world to think about the following question: “What fascinates you?” And “Which object embodies your fascination?” The result of this common project is a collaborative furniture series of 44 coffee tables in erratic forms called 'Objects of Fascination'.
As part of the project, the 44 stories behind the tables were collected in a book published by Accattone and Architecture Curating Practice. On Monday 8 November, the book will be presented at MAD Brussels. The book presentation will be given by one of the project's initiators, CENTRAL office for architecture and urbanism and the publisher of the book Architecture Curating Practice. The book will be available for sale for 24.80 euros. For each book purchased, a number will be assigned to win one of the tables after a draw.
The exhibition "Objects of Fascination" runs at MAD until Sunday, November 14. The book is also for sale at the entrance of the exhibition.
