BRUSSELS FASHION & DESIGNERS SALES

With the Brussels Fashion & Designers Sales we put the Brussels fashion and design sector in the spotlight by supporting designers with selling their stock from last year. On 17, 18 & 19 November 2022, MAD Brussels, Knack Weekend and Le Vif Weekend organise the third edition of the Brussels Fashion & Designers Sales, the renewed MAD Sales.  

The winter edition of 2022 is all about reuniting established Brussels fashion & design brands with young, upcoming designers. Brussels design at its best! MAD will carry out this vision in the selection of the participating brands.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

If you are a fashion designer or an interior designer headquartered in the Brussels Capital Region or you have your atelier or shop in Brussels, you are eligible to participate in the Brussels Fashion & Designers Sales. Next to the sales at MAD, we also encourage brands to participate from their own atelier or sales point. 

The winter edition of 2022 is all about reuniting established Brussels fashion & design brands with young, upcoming designers. MAD will make a balanced selection of well-known Brussels brands, young brands and students based on its core values of inclusion, sustainability and innovation. As places are limited for this edition, we try to give especially young brands, without a point of sale, a chance to participate in the Sales at MAD.

 

 

WHAT CAN THE SALES OFFER YOU?

The Brussels Fashion & Designers Sales aims to help Brussels brands sell their last year's stock at reduced prices. But we also see it as a moment to put Brussels brands and designers in the spotlights. Besides the communication through the channels of MAD Brussels, the Brussels Fashion & Designers Sales are promoted by media partners  Knack Weekend en Le Vif Weekend. Next to general editorial attention and advertisements in the magazines and a banner campaign on their respective sites, there will also be an extensive poster campaign with accompanying folders with all the participating brands and shops.

 

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

  • Thursday 17 November from 17h00 until 21h00 

  • Friday 18 November from 11h00 until 19h00

  • Saturday 19 November from 11h00 until 19h00 

 

FORMULAS

We offer participants two formulas:

1. Participate from your own point of sale or location

  • Free participation

  • Communicative support online and for your showcase

2. Participate with a booth at MAD Brussels

  • Stand of 5 m2: 100 euro

  • Stand of 10 m2: 175 euro

  • Rent of 1 table: 16 euros (max. 1 table per participant)

  • Rent of chairs: free (max. 2 chairs per participant)

  • MAD does not provide clothes racks, coat racks and fitting trays

  • The booth can be filled as desired, but everything must fit in the assigned space

  • MAD does not provide a Bancontact system. Each participant provides their own payment system (cash or online payment system)

  • Construction: Thursday 17 November from 9h00 until 17h00

  • Deconstruction: Saturday 19 November from 19h00 until 21h00

  • Brands that exist for less than 3 years receive a 15% discount on the participation fee with a stand at MAD Brussels.

 

SUBSCRIPTION

PROCEDURE:

1. Apply for the Sales

Fill in the registration form at the bottom of this page before Monday 26 September 2022. After forwarding your registration, we will review your application internally.

2. Selection by MAD

As places for the Sales are limited, MAD is forced to make a selection in the number of brands participating with a booth at MAD. All booths at MAD are placed on the ground floor. We try to give especially young brands, without a point of sale, a chance to participate in the sales. MAD will make a balanced selection of well-known Brussels brands and young brands or students based on its core values of inclusion, sustainability and innovation. There is no limit to the number of shops that participate with their own sales point. 

3. Attribution of participation

After the selection, a MAD staff member will contact you with the confirmation of your participation in the sales. We will contact you at the latest on Friday 30 September 2022. After selection, you will be sent the practical information. MAD determines the location of your stand within its building and communicates it to you.

MAD reserves the right to intervene in the selection and determine the final choice. MAD reserves the right to determine the places of the participating designers at MAD.
