MAD Brussels, the Brussels center for fashion and design, is a non-profit organization that promotes an innovative, sustainable, and inclusive vision of Brussels, shaped by and for creatives. Creative professionals from the fashion and design industries are the indispensable driving forces behind the capital's positive and inspiring character.

The mission of MAD Brussels is to support, guide, and connect creative entrepreneurs in Brussels, while also helping fashion and design actors grow and increase their visibility at both national and international levels. 

MAD Brussels is located in the heart of the capital, at Nieuw Graanmarkt 10, 1000 Brussels / 10 Place du Nouveau Marché aux grains, 1000 Bruxelles, where exhibitions and events focused on fashion and design are regularly held. In addition, the organization has an incubator at Gierstraat 4, 1000 Brussels / 4 rue du Vautour, 1000 Bruxelles, which provides creative talent with a workspace, as well as a production workshop fully dedicated to their projects. 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION & PERIOD 

Job description
MAD Brussels is looking for an intern to support the communications and events team. 

Period and duration:
From September 2026 to December 2026. Minimum 3 months. 

Location of the internship: 
MAD Brussels, Nieuw Graanmarkt 10, 1000 Brussels / Place du Nouveau Marché aux grains 10, 1000 Bruxelles

 

TASKS 

Content creation: 

  • Newsletter content creation (proposing topics, conducting research, writing articles and texts); 

  • Website content creation (writing web copy, adding events, translating pages); 

  • Preparing, conducting, and transcribing interviews; 

  • Social media content creation (developing topics, conducting research, writing captions for Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and TikTok); 

  • Creating video content (TikTok and Instagram Reels).

 Social media:

  • Preparing posts for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn (both copy and visuals); 

  • Performing minor graphic edits for social media posts in line with MAD Brussels’ visual identity (InDesign & Photoshop); 

  • Community management (responding to messages, tracking and analysing statistics, monitoring trends, following audience engagement, etc.). 

Exhibitions and events: 

  • Supporting the practical organisation before and during exhibitions and events (preparing rooms, assisting with setup, event reception, etc.);

  • Research-based work in preparation for exhibitions (collecting and analysing information, research, and translating exhibition texts); 

  • Preparing presentations to support events; 

  • Creating content during events (photo and video production). 

 

PROFILE SOUGHT 

  • An organised and proactive person; 

  • Fluent in Dutch and English (knowledge of French is a plus); 

  • Strong interest in the creative industries; 

  • Versatile and highly adaptable (able to handle a variety of tasks requiring different skills).
