More than 75 birdhouses reinvented by renowned Belgian and international designers.

The exhibition Home Sweet Home explores the idea of home with a playful twist. Birdhouses by internationally renowned designers demonstrate how living, care, and beauty come together for both humans and nature. This small but meaningful object is reimagined into creations where material, form, and color reflect the designer’s identity. From ceramics and metal to wood and textiles, some birdhouses appear delicate and precious, others are robust or playful, functional or sculptural.

Home Sweet Home, curated by Swiss interior stylist and curator Connie Hüsser, presents more than 75 unique birdhouses designed by prominent Belgian and international designers. Belgian designer Bram Vanderbeke created a birdhouse in aluminum, while Linde Freya Tangelder crafted one in her signature architectural style using tulipwood. French designer Maya Eline Leroy expressed herself colorfully with air-dry clay, gouache, and acrylic paint. British designer Bethan Laura Wood, Dutch designers Sabine Marcelis and Roosje van Donselaar, and Korean designer Kwangho Lee also created birdhouses in their distinctive styles.

About Connie Hüsser & Objects with Love

The exhibition is curated by Connie Hüsser, a Swiss interior stylist, journalist, exhibition maker, and curator. Throughout her career, she has developed a keen eye and an intuitive sense for the unusual. For more than twenty years, she has created unique scenographies and bold collages in which objects, materials, and colors come together, often anticipating what will later define the spirit of the times.

Since 2018, Connie Hüsser has traveled the world with Objects with Love, an exhibition project featuring a carefully curated selection of original designs by contemporary designers, with particular attention to the younger generation. In 2019, Connie Hüsser was awarded the Swiss Grand Prix Award for Design. Additionally, she has been working with Vitra since 2004 and designed the colorful “Leo” smiley sponge series for the Danish design brand HAY.
