From 15 to 17 November 2024, MAD Brussels will be highlighting the creative essence of Brussels with the MAD Parcours Downtown edition. During this weekend, dedicated to local players in the fashion and design fields, will bring the city centre to life in the run-up to the festive season.
The MAD Parcours encourages a symbiotic connection between designers, multi-brands, shops selling Brussels brands and any other store willing to open their doors to Brussels designers and brands to occupy their premises for the occasion. The initiative also aims to encourage collaboration between young designers and established businesses, boosting sales in local shops. The itinerary will feature venues carefully selected by the MAD team in the following categories: workshops and sales spaces run by Brussels-based designers and brands, and spaces hosting young Brussels-based designers in the fashion and design sector.
LOCATIONS ELIGIBLE FOR MAD PARCOURS
The eligible addresses are as follows:
FASHION — Workshops & Boutiques (multi or mono brands) for jewellery, leather goods, shoes, accessories and ready-to-wear.
DESIGN — Furniture design workshops and boutiques, collectible design galleries.
POP-UPS — Design/fashion pop-ups in any other venue wishing to take part and showcase Brussels designers and brands in these sectors.
OTHER LOCATIONS — Shops, restaurants, hotels, etc. are not excluded from this initiative, as they will be able to host scenographies and installations specially designed for the occasion by creative artists based in Brussels.
Main criterion: these different locations must display local fashion or design designers in order to be included in the parcours.
an interactive map
The walk will be made available to the public via an interactive map listing creative addresses in the city centre. Each participating shop will have a QR code giving customers easy access to the selection of locations. Participants will have the opportunity to be listed on the map and benefit from the emulation and mutual influence of each other.
