With its creative lunches, MAD Brussels aims to introduce insightful designers from the creative industry to inspire young designers with their professional experience. On November 7, MAD Brussels will host an inspiring lunch with Pauline and Luis, the duo behind Brussels-based design studio Paulineplusluis.
Paulineplusluis recently received the award of “designer of the year 2024” and will start the 2-year MAD incubator residency program at the end of October. A promising designer duo to keep an eye on!

Pauline Capdo & Luis Bellenger — Paulineplusluis
French duo Pauline Capdo (Bayonne - 1992) and Luis Bellenger (Paris - 1987) met while studying at Belgian creative schools ESA Saint-Luc Tournai and La Cambre in Brussels. After graduating, they created their joint design studio in 2015: Paulineplusluis. Since 2017, the studio has been based in Brussels, where Pauline and Luis continue to develop their passion for design.
Paulineplusluis is known for their functional and simplistic designs with a poetic twist. Their work, which ranges from lighting to furniture, is inspired by everyday objects and phenomena, which they interpret in innovative ways. In April 2024, they presented their Neon lighting collection as part of the “BOLD Dualities” exhibition during Milan Design Week 2024. Thanks to their innovative approach, the duo transforms cable trays, originally designed to organize electrical cables, into aesthetic, functional and sustainable designs such as the neon wall lamp or neon pendant.
