From 17th to 18th June, Belgium is Design is accompanying around a dozen Belgian designers to an exhibition as part of an economic mission in Norway. This multisectoral mission aims to promote sustainable design, highlighting Belgian expertise in Oslo.
A dozen Belgian designers and artisans will showcase their creations at Design og arkitektur Norway (DOGA) in Oslo on 17th and 18th June as part of the Belgian economic mission to Norway. The designers, selected through a call for applications, will present their work on a global scale, benefit from exceptional visibility, and explore opportunities in the Norwegian market.
SUSTAINABLE ELEGANCE: BELGIAN DESIGN & CRAFTS IN FOCUS Exhibition
The works of 12 Belgian designers and artisans will be exhibited at Design og arkitektur Norway (DOGA) from 17th to 18th June 2024, from 10 am to 5 pm. This exhibition, with scenography by Ray Atelier, will feature a selection of pieces representative of Belgian design, illustrating emerging trends in sustainability and innovation of national craftsmanship to the Norwegian public.

During this mission, the designers will have the opportunity to present their products and approaches to Norwegian architects and designers. This event will be hosted by Christian Pagh, Director and Chief Curator of the Oslo Architecture Triennale.
The presentations will be followed by a networking session to create synergies and business opportunities, during which Princess Astrid, along with ministers and diplomats, will meet with the Belgian designers represented in the exhibition.
Under the patronage of Princess Astrid, this joint economic mission is organised by the Foreign Trade Agency in close collaboration with the Brussels Capital Region, the regional foreign trade agencies (AWEX, hub.brussels, FIT), the FPS Foreign Affairs, and Belgium is Design (Wallonie-Bruxelles Design Mode & MAD Brussels).
