Discover the work of 10 Brussels designers at Brussels House during Milan Design Week 2025!

MAD Brussels, Belgium is Design and hub.brussels are joining forces to present, for the second time, Brussels design talent at Brussels House during Milan Design Week 2025.

The exhibition (Un)wrapped presents the work of ten Brussels designers. In line with Isola’s Design is Human theme, the exhibition (un)wrapped, featuring ten Brussels-based designers, explores how materials and objects can shape not only spaces but also human experiences. From hand-crafted and transformed raw materials to repurposed and recycled elements, the selected designers embrace an approach that balances innovation with tradition, functionality with emotion.

ABOUT (Un)wrapped

The exhibition highlights the power of design to reconnect with nature, rethink waste as a resource, and create spaces that enhance well-being. A meditation chair designed as a refuge from modern distractions, woven compositions translating urban imagery into textiles, and sculptural wooden vessels all reflect this vision. Other projects redefine the afterlife of construction waste through elegant furniture, explore lighting design through the technical mastery of metal spinning, and merge textile pleating with goldsmithing techniques to create modular seating systems.

At the heart of this exhibition is a commitment to design that serves both people and the planet. Through sustainable sourcing, circular processes, and deep material research, these Brussels-based designers offer a glimpse into a future where objects are not just functional but meaningful, adaptable, and rooted in a sense of responsibility.

Conceived as a window display, the scenography, explores the act of unveiling, offering a new perspective on contemporary design. A soft drapery serves as a backdrop, highlighting the textures and craftsmanship of each object. Floating lighting elements that enhance the sense of lightness, while raw materials like wood, stone, and ceramics emphasize authenticity and sustainability. As visitors move around the curtain to enter the space, they will be invited to discover the projects.
