MAD Brussels, Flanders District of Creativity and Wallonie-Bruxelles Design Mode are organising a professional networking event bringing together designers and international publishers on Thursday 3 December 2026 in Brussels. 

D2B (Designer To Business) is an annual initiative by Belgium is Design. Since 2007, the event has been bringing Belgian designers together with international publishers. These professional meetings offer a unique opportunity to establish direct contacts, exchange knowledge and initiate new collaborations. Previous editions have attracted more than 60 international companies, including renowned brands such as Droog (NL), Fiam Italia (IT), Normann Copenhagen (DK), Ibride (FR) and many others. 

The event aims to foster constructive dialogue between Belgian and international publishers and designers, whether emerging or experienced. Designers are selected based on their portfolios and their potential fit with the participating companies.Belgium is Design is an initiative of MAD Brussels, Flanders District of Creativity and Wallonie-Bruxelles Design Mode, dedicated to promoting Belgian design internationally and raising its profile abroad.

PROGRAMME & PRACTICAL INFORMATION 

Date & time:

Thursday, 3 December 2026

  • 09:30-12:30: Presentation of the Belgian and international publishers. The participating companies will be invited to introduce their philosophy and production methods to designers, professionals and the Belgian press ;

  • 12:30- 13:30: Networking lunch ;

  • 13:30-18:00: Individual meetings (speed dating) between companies and designers, based on a pre-selection.

Location: MAD Brussels - Place du Nouveau Marché aux Grains 10 / Nieuwe Graanmarkt 10, 1000 Brussels 

 

PREPARATORY SESSION 

To help selected designers make the most of their meetings with international publishers, a dedicated mandatory preparatory session will be organised with our design and business expert Wim Labie (Signed by S.) on Thursday 19th November at 9:30 at MAD Brussels (10 Pl. du Nouveau Marché aux Grains, 1000 Brussels)The session will cover the key points to know before meeting publishers, including how to present and pitch your work, what to consider when discussing collaborations and contracts, and how to approach these professional meetings with confidence and clarity.
