MAD Brussels, Wallonie-Bruxelles Design Mode and Flanders DC are organising a collective event for Belgian fashion designers during the Fashion Week taking place from August 5th to 9th, 2024, in Copenhagen.

Under the common label IN OUR NAME BELGIUM, MAD Brussels, Wallonie-Bruxelles Design Mode and Flanders DC are organising a collective event during Copenhagen Fashion Week. The aim of this event is to provide a platform for emerging and established Belgian fashion creators by offering them the opportunity to showcase their collections during Copenhagen Fashion Week S/S25. The event, with a collection presentation, will allow selected designers to establish and strengthen connections with industry professionals, media, and international buyers.

WHAT DOES THIS CALL FOR APPLICATIONS OFFERS YOU?

Participating in this initiative offers you the opportunity to showcase your brand and collections in an ideal setting within important markets.

SELECTION pROCESS

Three to five fashion brands (menswear, womenswear and accessories) selected through a call for application- this new initiative will focus on promoting Belgian brands under the branding 'In Our Name - Belgium'.

Eligibility criteria

Have the company headquarters in Belgium, or being based in Belgium in the case of an individual
The company must have operated for minimum 1,5 years
Have a minimum of two collections (or equivalent)

Selection criteria

From the applications submitted, a panel of fashion industry professionals will select up to 5 brands based on criteria as follows:

Have the capacity (financial, human, operational) for exportation
Have a distinctive and complete collection to showcase during Copenhagen FW
Have high creative, original and bold collections
Demonstrate a commitment to environmental and social sustainability practices.
Have a clear vision of target markets

Apply here before Wednesday, April 24, 2024 (23:59).

Modalities

The partners will take charge of:

Coordinating the event with a local PR agency
Co-organising the visibility event
Introducing the brands to various fashion professionals during the event
Promoting the brands and creating awareness around them before and during the event

By completing the application form, selected participants commit to:

Collaborating with the organising team by providing promotional materials, information on the brand, and the products, etc.
Support their own travel expenses
Providing written feedback or attending a feedback session after the FW

The presentation will be meticulously organised and financially supported by MAD Brussels, Flanders DC, and WBDM.

We expect an active participation from all selected participants in the preparation process and require their physical presence during the event at the fashion week. This ensures maximum exposure and engagement for your brand within the industry.
