Anneleen Bertels’ laboratory blends embroidery, jewellery and textile design. It is a place to explore craftsmanship, innovation, sustainability and interdisciplinary cooperation. The laboratory researches new sustainable materials and new techniques in relation to traditional craftsmanship, how they interact, how they clash, how they can strengthen.

Embroidery made from recycled materials and jewelry pieces inserted into garments as reparation methods, celebration of purity and preciousness of the artisanal work, exploration of different textile crafts and resources in Europe and Japan.
