Under the banner of Belgium is Design, Flanders District of Creativity, Wallonie-Bruxelles Design Mode (WBDM) and MAD Brussels will present a curated selection of leading Belgian design companies during 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen, from June 10 to 12, 2026.
In just a few years, 3 Days of Design has established itself as an unmissable international design event. Initially focused on renowned Scandinavian brands, it now attracts a discerning B2B audience and welcomes an increasingly international and creative crowd. Spread across eight iconic districts of Copenhagen, the festival offers a complete immersion into the world of contemporary design.
Belgium is Design is an initiative by MAD Brussels, Flanders District of Creativity, and Wallonie-Bruxelles Design Mode.
Who can apply?
As part of this project, Belgium is Design is launching an open call for applications aimed at Belgian companies and designers active in the fields of furniture,lighting, textiles, and tableware.
Belgium is Design is looking for commercially viable products intended for medium- or large-scale production. Unique pieces and prototypes are not eligible. The goal is to present designs ready for international markets, meeting high standards of quality, functionality, and commercial potential.
This call is open to companies and design studios headquartered in Belgium.
Selection criteria
Applications will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
Motivation towards internationalisation
Brand quality and identity
Production capacity
Market awareness and clear pricing strategy
Coherence of the brand with the other selected participants*
Integration of innovation in techniques, materials, and design, with a strong focus on sustainability and circularity
*Non-selection does not question the value of a project but may be related to the curatorial and thematic coherence of the collective.
